Hi Amed. Please introduce yourself and your background…
It’s kind of a long story but -hopefully- I’ll try to be as concise as possible LoL.
My name is Amed Abraham, from Cairo -Egypt. I’m a former pharmacist who spent a decade (5 years studying and 5 years working in the pharmaceutical field) only to throw it all away due to me hating the field as I found it so unfulfilling to my need for creative expression or my passion for creation in general and it’s been the best ‘throwaway’ decision I’d ever made in my entire life.
I knew that the way for me to feel fulfilled is to monetize any of my own skills (design, art, voice-casting, marketing, coaching .. etc) but none of my creative skills were compatible with the medical or pharmaceutical field.
I was looking for both freedom with time, financial freedom and to create a fulfilling lifestyle for myself because I know I have so much value to give but I was in the wrong field and environment.
I started an eastern youtube channel about dieting and grew it to about 10k subscribers or so in a short period of time but I didn’t know how to market for it. I began researching online marketing videos and tutorials, came across Superstar SEO and I learned about SEO from him and how to approach clients via Cold Email for SEO using ScopeLeads scraping tool. A few months later, I actually won the competition for the #1 Best article written about SEO by the Canadian ‘Lior Ohayon’ the creator of ScopeLeads himself.
I then caught the news of Superstar SEO starting Legiit as an American freelancing platform. I saw this as a way to monetize all my other skills and finally get that fulfillment I always desired. So, I opened up a few services on legiit relying on some of my newly learned branding skills, and even did work for Chris Walker (Superstar SEO) himself and BOOM!, I became one of the top-rated in some departments and exclusively #1 for Web-design/development across the platform.
How would you describe your services?
Because almost every online department for digital services is overly saturated nowadays, standing out is crucial!.
My positioning is always “High-End Quality”, “American-Quality” and clearly stating that I do not compete on price or frequently offer discounts and etc. as I do not offer the stereotypical 3rd-World quality nor do I offer the standard freelancer-quality that we all know of by consensus of almost everyone that’s worked with me.
I’m a picky person by nature and for the clients that I work with, and I want to be my clients’ exclusive pick as well!. The “Churn & Burn” quality or Burning myself out for a few bucks to serve everyone isn’t gonna do it for me. I look for decent-paying customers so I can be proud of every product I produce and to add to my library of achievements and put my all into whatever I do.
That’s why I brand many of my services to be like “All-in-One”, “Set & Forget” type of services as I like to be that “Go-To” person for this and that without any hassle or burden on my clients to shop around so they can put together a final product for themselves.
Most marketers are familiar with the big SEO tools, which are your favored?
Definitely Ahrefs first! and Majestic second. SEMrush is 3rd.
How has Legiit been so far? Is it doing what you hoped it would?
As explained in my story, Legiit has been the biggest turning point in my life and the stepping stone to everything else I’m doing up until this point. Through it, I was able to achieve what I would have never achieved if I were to stay in a corporate job for years on end.
I feel like I bought back all the years I’d wasted in the wrong field only in a couple or 3 years as a freelancer/entrepreneur. And through it, I was able to create great connections and even take the bigger step of creating my brand and establish with my partners an independent full-fledged marketing agency that has served 300+ clients and agencies combined. And the best is yet to come!
What service are you most proud of?
Definitely Web Design & Development. It counts for the bigger chunk of my revenues, It’s the #1 service that I’m Top-rated for and I’m grateful that I was able to brand myself on a different level compared to whatever else is out there. I even got some work on other competitive platforms like ‘Upwork’ with Zero ratings or reviews to start with and just based on my portfolio and how unique the work and the value that I put out is.
I think most web designers purely focus on technicalities which results in almost every website I see looking like a familiar/standard website that our eyes are used to. But since I come from an artistic background, I was able to mix the element of ‘Art’ into technical web design to come up with better visuals and more endless possibilities for the looks I can come up with, and that’s how the idea of putting out a ‘Fancy’ Web design bundle came out for clients who seek that difference. This is paramount as nowadays the market is truly over-saturated and you need to step up the game to truly shine.
How do you intend to grow, and new services in the pipeline?
I have been having many draft services in my arsenal that are yet to be published. These are exclusive!, so I won’t be able to mention much so I don’t expose the ideas. But of course, they are ‘All-in-One’ type of services as I like to brand my products that way because I like to save people the time they’d take to shop around for different things and just bundle everything all together as a ‘reliever service’ as I like to call it.
Apart from this, I’ve been heavily engrossed in establishing an official full-service marketing agency with my partners and we’ve launched it already (www.lixcorp.com). We intend to serve businesses as well as other fellow agencies across the globe with our B2B offers. Our promise is that High-End, “American-Quality”, not a 3rd world or typical freelancer type of quality. Something that anyone can be proud of selling or upselling to their clients while presenting them in a corporate-like manner, not a startup look or feel at all.
What’s your personal future goals?
Gosh, they are A Lot! … I believe adopting a continual growth-mindset and reaching new heights is what defines life to me because the moment complacency sets in, that’s when boredom takes over and life loses its thrill.
Starting off …
On a personal level, I’m definitely rebranding a lot of my top-rated services on legiit and putting brand new “KickAss” services out there over the next couple of months.
On a bigger scale, me and partners are currently looking to expand our agency’s reach and branching out in different countries -both in the middle east and the western regions of course as this is where we all started and serviced 300+ clients already.
Apart from all that, I do have educational plans. One for SEO in the middle east and in my country (Egypt), because people in the eastern area in general lack proper knowledge of SEO. And because I’ve dealt with hundreds of clients over the past years and learned SEO from Superstar SEO himself from the Academy back in the day, I’m more than happy to offer educational value and pass on everything I’ve learned to date about SEO.
Another one is getting back to YouTubing or even post personal videos on my social media as I love coaching and being a source of inspiration and guidance to others. I’ll most likely rebrand my old channel for Diet Coaching to be more of a lifestyle/self-dev channel where I share everything I’ve learned about dieting, business, marketing, relationships … etc. As I like to see myself impacting other lives in a positive way
Wish me luck, I got a long way to go if I’m able to live long enough to do all that Checklist!
Finally, where can people find your services?
Lastly, as an exclusive offer to Freelance Juicee readers, acquaintances and apart from my personal legiit profile … anyone that comes to my agency, I’ll offer them white-label prices for whatever services they ask for if they just mention that they were referred by you or your blog and we’ll take care of the rest.
